This service is free for clients I have pierced. One free downsize per piercing. New clients wanting to change jewelry need to book “jewelry styling” appointment. One of the most important parts of your aftercare is downsizing the post. Bethanie pierces with a longer post to accommodate for swelling that may occur. You are welcome to reach out before making the appointment as some parts of the ear and some clients don’t require a downsize. This makes the jewelry sit more flush to the ear and prevents extra snagging from things like hair and masks.

Aftercare is simple — sterile saline spray, no twisting or turning, and avoiding sleeping on it for 6 months using a piercing pillow.

Changing your own flat back jewelry in certain areas can often be tricky, let me help you! During your appointment we can remove existing jewelry, asses what we want to change and determine where pieces you may have had your eyes on would sit nicely. This is also a good time to map out new piercings with jewelry you’ve had your eye on. *I will not swap jewelry that is/was not purchased from my studio as often times it’s made of mystery metal and I only like to work with quality jewelry to ensure there are no sensitivities or tarnishing over time*

Sometimes things happen and we develop piercing bumps (hypertrophic scars), not to be mistaken with a keloid. Piercing bumps are often fleshy in color, raw and often bloody. Lucky for us piercing bumps can be treated with correct aftercare and piercing discs. Piercing discs are made of medical-grade silicone and are added to the side the bump has appeared and placed on the jewelry post itself to slightly flatten the bump over time. We will go over proper aftercare again and nail down what may not be working in your current routine.

•For minors book in the “minors” section• The rook piercing is place on the horizontal cartilage towards the top of the ear. While not everyone has the correct anatomy for this piercing, you’re surely in luck if you do! Pierced with a curved bar you’re able to swap to a dainty hoop for the cutest look if you wish, no downsize necessary for healing. Healing time of 6 months to a year with proper aftercare.

•For minors book in the “minors” section• The tragus piercing is another anatomy dependent piercing. This small area is located in front of the hole of your ear and provides such a great balance to your ear scape. Typically adorned with dainty studs there are so many options for this piercing. Using only implant grade titanium jewelry and single-use hallow needles you’re sure to love your new addition and feel safe during the whole process. Heal time 6 months - a year. *Not able to use AirPods or ear buds of any kind for 3 months or more to avoid migration and irritation *

Often times it’s used to fill in extra space between a first and second hole that are a little too far apart giving it more of a balanced look. Typically pierced with a dainty piece of jewelry given the location, it adds the cutest touch to your ear. *Before confirming the appointment I will ask for a good picture of your ear to see if you appear to have enough space.*

Bethanie uses a single use sterile hallow needle along with other individually packaged sterile single use tools. She’ll finish with your choice of an implant grade titanium flat back stud that matches your style to give you that look you’re going to be obsessed with! Healing time is 6-8 months.
